Dean Crews is the Executive Chef for Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross Hotel. He has held this role since the beginning of 2015 and is responsible for developing the F&B offering for the refurbished bar and restaurant at the Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross Hotel.
Crews has been involved in the hospitality sector for over 17 years. He joined the Crowne Plaza after serving as Executive Chef at The Charing Cross Hotel for two years, where he was directly responsible for the brand change and development of the hotels food offering.
Crews will be tantalising guest’s taste buds with an amazing modern European Restaurant Bar and Grill, called 1269. And it’s not only his inspirational new food and drink menu that will keep both guests, locals and MICE customers coming back for more.
In addition to the vast array of food and drink guests will also be able to take part in cookery master classes (using local and seasonal ingredients), Gin/Whisky master classes, pairings and much more.
Crews commented, “The inspiration behind 1269 comes from the very heritage for which the local area was originally known. In 1269 a Royal Charter permitted a yearly Livestock Market, which is still celebrated to this day.
Quality ingredients for all of my food is locally sourced and seasonal, providing guests with a culinary experience they can enjoy throughout the year. I’m looking forward to having guests, locals and businesses alike come in and taste the food, relax at the bar and enjoy some of the great master classes we will be implementing when we open later this year.
